Foods That Fight Inflammation

Inflammation is more common than you think! When most people hear the word "inflammation", they think of swelling due to an injury, when in fact it can also be associated with health conditions such as: Type II Diabetes, allergies, autoimmune diseases, heart disease, cancer and stroke.

Some of the most common signs of inflammation are:

  1. Persistent Pain: joint, neck, back and chronic headaches

  2. Digestive Issues: IBS, acid reflux, constipation, and more

  3. Fatigue: day and/or night

  4. Moodiness: depression and anxiety

  5. Frequent Illness

  6. Weight Gain

The best way to fight inflammation and it's symptoms are by eating a healthy diet rich in fatty fish such as salmon, berries, whole grains, sweet potatoes and green leafy vegetables and staying away from items such as sugar, alcohol, processed foods and white flour. Make sure that you're also getting in at least 30 minutes of exercise three times a week!
