GUACAMOLE TURKEY BURGERS
Makes 4 burgers
INGREDIENTS TURKEY BURGERS:
1lb 93% or 99% lean ground turkey
1/4 cup of oats
1 green onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1 egg white, beaten
1 TBS lime juice
1 TBS dried parsley
1 TBS onion powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl using your hands or a spatula.
Divide into 4 equally portioned patties.
Heat on a grill or large pan sprayed with cooking spray to medium-high heat.
Cook burgers for 4 to 5 minutes on each side until cooked through.
Serve on a whole grain or gluten free bun, or lettuce wrap (lower carb option) topped with guacamole, lettuce, tomato and other toppings of choice.
INGREDIENTS FOR GUACAMOLE
1 large avocado
Juice of 1 lime
1 jalapeno, seeded and finely chopped
2 to 3 TBS finely chopped cilantro
Salt to taste
Remove avocado pit and place avocado in small bowl.
Using a fork, mash the avocado until it's the consistency of your liking.
Add in the remaining ingredients and combine.
