Are you tired of your same old grilled chicken breast and you're ready to spice things up? Check out our new recipe that is sure to make your summertime chicken sizzle with it's amazing taste! Just drop all the ingredients in your slow cooker and let it sit for 3 to 7 hours while you're off doing your own thing!
Just in time for the 4th of July, you'll be the hit of any BBQ!
THE PERFECT PULLED CHICKEN RECIPE
1 ½ pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs (you can also use breasts as well, the thighs give it some added taste!)
1 cup low-sugar ketchup
¼ cup brewed coffee (Don't have coffee? You can use water or chicken broth instead)
½ tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
1/3 cup yellow mustard
1 teaspoon cumin
⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper
4 whole grain or gluten free buns
Place the ketchup, coffee, Worcestershire sauce, balsamic, ACV, mustard, cumin and cayenne pepper into the slow cooker and mix well.
Place the chicken thighs on top of the sauce and flip them to coat both sides.
Cook 3 to 4 hours on high or 7 to 8 hours on low.
Once done, shred the chicken and put on warm until ready to serve.
Top with lettuce, sprouts, slaw or whatever other toppings you'd like!
